Jacksonville Humane Society Animal Shelter
Auld & White was retained by the Jacksonville Humane Society to complete a new animal shelter on the organization’s existing campus. The organization had been operating out of portable trailers installed 10 years prior after a fire destroyed its former facility. The newly-constructed facility includes climate-controlled housing for animals, a pet adoption mall, private rooms for prospective adoptees and an education center. The Humane Society’s existing hospital and adoption center remained open during the construction of their new facility. Once the new building was able to house the animals, the temporary portables were torn down to complete the parking lot, play yard and landscaping.
